Making more levels on P3EX

I have a P3EX with the 2 level ports on the back, 1 of them is level 1 and 2 (using a splitter) but my question is why cant i use a splitter on the other port for level 3 and 4??? I see its only level 3???

Is this something what can change?

The maximum of level sensors that can be connected to PL 3 ex is three. It is not possible to connect two sensors to the second port for level 3. To connect more than 3 sensors you can use an Expansion box (two more level sensors) or wait until we have developed the level extension card which is planned to come probably still this year.

so is it just a software reason why the second level port can only take 1??

No, it's limited by the hardware.
