Hi,

I have a problem with the conductivity probe. The other day the probe began to incorrect values (1002.5).

I clean and calibrate. At that time had a value of 1024.5, but began to decline until 1002.3.

Thinking it was a problem in the probe, I bought a new one. Yesterday, connect the probe and did a new calibration, the probe began to correct values. This morning had a value of 1005.4.

What can be happening?

Hello,

does the temp sensor show correct values? If not, this could perhaps hint to a defective power supply unit.
You can fill some aquarium water in a glass and measure the conductivity. If here the values are correct, then the problem is definitely located in/around your aquarium. Electromagnetic interferences, for example due to a defective pump could then be the reason. In this case remove all electronics one after another until you find the defective device.

Thanks, when I get home I'll try.

I had a similar problem a few day ago.. turn out it was a tiny start fish stuck in the middle of the probe fork

Hi,

In calibrating the probe I have a value of ADC 1 of 18 (correct), but the value of ADC 2 is 103 (very low). Also, if you recalibrate the probe get a different value of ADC 2. (76). I remember having a value of 350.

The calibration is made out of the aquarium.

hmm ya my values are19 and 424...

try gifing it a good scrub with vinegar (be gental) and try recalibrating with teh proper solution and null plug

I put the probe in vinegar for a few minutes. I have recalibrated and now I have the ADC 1 => 18 and ADC 2 => 427.

I put the probe in the aquarium water and at first had a correct value (1025), but is now 1021.3 and falling in value.

Tomorrow will see the value.

Hi folks,

This morning was 1.024, great news. Values will continue to monitor and comment.

Bad news,

Yesterday afternoon, the probe value was 1022.4. I calibrate the probe for several hours was correct values, but at night had a value of 1002.3.

Probe Is it wrong?

It's not sitting anywhere you ato is filling is it?

The probe is in the refuge.

I have the same problem. Every time I calibrate my probe, after 24 hours it is reading a much lower value. I wonder if there is a problem with the latest software version?

My problem was a pump eheim.

Often the reason is a (defective) electronic device that creates an electromagnetic interfering field which disturbs the measurement of the probe. In another case, a customer had put a moor radix into the tank which caused
wrong conductivity values...

Hi Carolin, we found the problem. There was a pump inside the sump which altered the Conductivity probe readings.
After removing that pump, the probe readings are stable.

But I have one question: Why vinegar renews the probe?

Cleaning the probe can improve the accuracy of the measurement. For an optimal probe cleaning please have a look here:

I have a similar problem, the conductivity is dropping down. If I shake the sensor in the aquarium water the reading goes back to normal but dropping quickly (from 1.025 to 1.010)

Perhaps it happens to you the same as my friend. Try to unplug devices (specially pumps)
