Please can I get a copy of the 10V port Schematic

I am looking at a DIY DC pump

the easiest way to access the 1-10V-interfaces of the ProfiLux is using the product LBF-AP

Thanks for the info but I am going to be making my own controller & need to know which wires do what on the 10V cable. which is positive & which is neutral?

Pin Function Color
1 +12V Black
2 Dimming intensity channel 1 Brown
3 GND Red
4 On/off channel 1 (relay control) Orange
5 Dimming intensity channel 2 Yellow
6 On/off channel 2 (relay control) Green

So I will be using Pin 3 & 2 - I want to change the voltage using these 2 pins to my DIY controller.

So if I connect my multi meter to the profilux on pin 3 & 2 I will be able to see voltage 0 - 10 when a pump pulses?

yes pin 2,3 or 5 depending on the channel you want to use like L1 = 2, L2 = 5, L3 = 2, L4 = 5 etc.

Thank you so much boboxx - so L1 & L2 can be run from one Port & L3 & L4 from another port - IE 1 Port can run 2 x 10v devices

boboxx
28.07.2010, 13:46
yes thats correct, each L ports have 2 control line

thank you boboxx

how do I use the relay control? pin 4 "Orange" does is send a signal out is so how many volts? would i connect pin 3 & 4 to a relay to switch it on / off?

thanks
Mark

That I'm not sure, but you could mesure it... it probably stays high or low... do not connect them together

how do I use the relay control?

Connect the relay between pin 4[switched] and 3 [ground]

pin 4 "Orange" does is send a signal out is so how many volts?

It´s designed for 12V relays - but be aware, relays should be the low power type to not destroy the contact.
Search for 'Finder 43.61' or a equal relay (12 VDC /580 Ohms)- it´s a good solution

cool thanks for the relay recomendation :P

Vatso

Thanks so much that is so cool

So we can send / control 2 x 0v - 10v & 2 x relays

now how do we control the relay now in the GHL software?

what is the positive 12V for? & how much power can it send?

PS: Thank you so much for all the replys really helps me out - I am going to make a DIY DC pump controller that can be controlled by the profilux

So we can send / control 2 x 0v - 10v & 2 x relays

Correct

now how do we control the relay now in the GHL software?

It´s automatically controlled by the 0-10V port - it´s switched on if analog port has a value > 0%

what is the positive 12V for? & how much power can it send?

Not sure, but I think it´s for moonlight and sunrise/sundown simulation (the GHL SIMU-L has a processor who also needs power)
Availabe power also is very low I think (equal to relay switching power)

I am going to make a DIY DC pump controller that can be controlled by the profilux

Do you want to build a speed controller for a pump?

Vatso

Do you want to build a speed controller for a pump?

yes I am going to use DC to Puls Width Modulator to do it

so the relay 1 & 10v 1 both work at the same time - if 0v is set on the software both relay 1 & 10v 1 will be off & if 1V is set both are on?

Wirus

yes I am going to use DC to Puls Width Modulator to do it

What modulator do you use? I have pumps for that signal (independent from aquaristic), where I need such a device.

Yes, that´s right. Same for channel #2

its a VELLEMAN kit

Device : DC to Puls Width Modulator
Features :
This control circuit is ideal for the accurate control of DC motors, lighting levels, small heaters as well as other applications. The circuit converts a DC voltage into a series of pulses, such that the pulse duration is directly proportional to the value of the DC voltage. The great advantage of such a circuit is that almost no power is lost in the control circuit. Protected against overload and short circuit.
Power supply: 8 to 35VDC
maximum output current: 6.5A
input voltage: between 2.5 and 35VDC
dimensions: 85 x 48 x 45mm (3.4" x 1.9" x 1.8")

ts a VELLEMAN kit

Thank you for that - unfortunately it´s not what I´m searching for.
I don´t need power, only signal 0-10V to PWM 0-100% @ 10V

Thanks anyway.

Connect the relay between pin 4[switched] and 3 [ground]

NO, connect the relay between pin 4 (switched ground) and 1 (unregulated, approximately 12V ... 15V)

And yes Caution: outputs per charge only 20mA, do not forget free wheeling diodes!

Hello Vatso

I don't know if you are still searching for a solution on this one

I'm on the same mission and i am gonna buy the LBF-AP in order to link it to this
https://www.ebay.com/itm/JEBAO-JECOD-APEX-CONTROLLER-TO-NEPTUNE-SYSTEMS-LINKAGE-ADAPTER-US-Warranty-Pump/142544098752?epid=1277071107&hash=item21304a55c0:g:OjMAAOSwrddY7Nnf

It only works with the Jebao DC XXXX Pumps and not any other Jebao models - DCS DCP etc. ( They another technology )

But I also consider a Aquamedic DC Runner, as they have a very simple 0 - 10V port which should be easy to setup

Anyway., hopefully you got it sorted out, best regards, Brock

I am a mechanical guy and really not good at electrical stuff. I have a RD5 controller, from the manual it said it can do 0-10V adjustment, using a earphone plug with the attached connection 10855
Am I correct that I should connect the "Positive - Segment 1" to Pin 2 and "Negative - Segment 3" to Pin 3 of the RJ12 connector? Thanks.

Kary

Thanks.
I made one using a RJ11 connector, but doesn't seems to working. Just wanted to be sure about the pin assignment, is this how it should be connected? The black cable goes to the "Positive - Segment 1" and white to the "Negative - Segment 3"?

Pin2 Profilux--->Pin1 + connector
Pin3 Profilux--->Pin3 - connector

Pin2 Profilux, if you want to use L1,L3,L5 etc.
Pin5 Profilux, if you want to use L2,L4,L6 etc.
But please use an RJ12 connector, and use the right cable for RJ12 6/6 wiring.
Then you have to assign the interfaces under 1-10V settings to the pumps

Thanks Gael and Pit. Will try yo find a proper connector for this. Just to make sure I am correct on the pin assignment, on this picture 10870, is the left most pin the Pin 1?
