I install the new firm ware and soft ware. I try to run the e-mail direct of Profilux but nothing works when I press test. I entered all the same information as on (pc) option, which it works very well.

There you what to do something special for that option (Profilux) email works?

I do not really know the ip address.:(

I want to send a mail (Hotmail)

Can you connect to your p3 from the PC thru LAN connection?

Probably, your P3 doesn't recieve IP from router (router should assing IP address to P3 by DHCP).

IP address of my p3 is the type 192.168.1 ...... I read that hotmail does not accept this type of IP.

How to change IP address of p3??

Rival

Ok, for Hotmail the SMTP server is smtp.live.com; (SSL enabled, port 25).
Try configure it with <yourusername>@hotmail.com and password.

you don't need to change IP address on P3 but you can configure NAT on your router.

Rival

Hi again,

boboxx is RIGHT, P3 not supports SSL, however live mail required SSL for mail server.

I checked it with live.com and nothing happened but with other smtp account (not required SSL) it's works fine.

But...
other issue that it's not pass probes values :(

That what i got from P3

Temp1: [SENSOR1]
pH: [SENSOR2]
PowerBar-6:[SOCKETS1-8]
$$SENC[1]$$:$$SENV[2]$$

what is possible to send a mail of p3 to hotmail? if you have a way to configure for this to work?

Rival

P3 can send mail to any valid email address but I haven’t idea how to use hotmail’s server.
The issue is that P3 not currently support SSL\TLS SMTP authentication method. In this case you can't use hotmail’s server as SMTP sender server.
Probably, you can try to find any other free mail server that not required SSL\TLS.

I got some resources from http://www.emailaddressmanager.com/tips/mail-settings.htm

Ok I managed to send an email on hotmail with option (e-mail notification (Profilux)).

I find it works very well.

Here's how I have make, I opened a account on gmx.com (no need for SSL)

I then entered the info in the notification gmx Profilux.

in a (resipient) you between your Hotmail.

In this way we use the gmx server to send on to Hotmail without SSL.

Here's the info gmx: mailserveur ----------- mail.gmx.com
Port ------------ 587

success

To the technical background:
Like already written, PL3 doesnt support SSL (yet) - also we tested a lot of often used mail providers and the difficulty was, that every mail provider uses another smtp-server software working with other communication standards in detail...the newest firmware version should work with all(most) free mail providers as well as custom mailservers.

Thank you Mathias.
What about a format to pass to the email message body a probe value. It's work fine with with PLC mail but not with PL3.

We are working hard on the web interface and mail services anyway, just give us a little time please - we will give you information as soon as we are ready with it. :)

Any chance the webinterface gets released or beta released this weekend? I love the "change setting" feature for sensors and can't wait to have more controls...especially since I will be on vacation for a few weeks soon.

this is working since 5.05f -> you can insert "tokens" in your email text

the tokens will be evaluated when the email is sent

the tokens are described here:

S
$$REPS[32][02]$$ $$SWIN[xx]$$ - $$SWIS[xx]$$ [$$SWIC[xx]$$]
