Email Notification

Does the PIII send emails on alarms / preset emails as set in the email notifications in the Profilux Control program?

Or does the program have to be open all the time? If so can it be made to hide on minimise, start with the pc already minimised to a tray icon?

If the controller can email from itself then what is the required firmware version?

I dont particularly want to run a dedicated pc 24/7 to enable email notifications, I know that Reefstatus is the main contender for monitoring and it worked well on XP.

On the new firmware coming out there will be an embedded email client hosted on the internal webserver, I think this answers the question? ;)
