I read in an RC post that the Profilux can dim the Ecoxotic LEDs. Does this include all their LEDs? I have some of their stunner strips, and was wondering if I can dim these with the PowerBar-2Dim? Also I see that the PowerBar-2Dim has 2 sockets, are these separately controlled?

Thanks,
Raimie

yes

but I don't know if the Ecoxotic LEDs can be dimmed by regulation of the mains voltage, maybe you can post here some technical details, then maybe someone is able to give advices

These are quotes from AQD_ottawa in the GHL forum on RC. "We also have some new exciting companies coming onboard. Ecoxotic are now using profiLux as the sole control source for their LED units." http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1859344

as well as

"Some LED maufacturers are waking up to Triac dimming, this is basically lighting wall socket AC dimming, and can be controlled through the profiLux with the PowerBar-2Dim which is a 1-10V controlled AC dimmable device. Ecoxotic are the first to utilise this and we have been in contact with them, so if you are looking at Ecoxotic LED's the GHL ProfiLux will control them." http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1828494

Yes we are working very closely with Ecoxotic and have supplied them with a profiLux and powerbar 2 Dim for evaluation.

I spoke with them last week and the results were very positive. Ecoxotic use AC dimming something other manufacturers do not use, this is why ProfiLux is the only controller to be able to control these units.

For more detailed info on whether your specific unit can be controlled by the profiLux please contact Ike directly here
