What to download?

I recently purchased a used Profilux Plus II.
I do not have any software downloaded for it yet.

I was hoping someone could advise me on which software I should download and in which order to install it.

Hello Gregg,

If you scan trought the menu on your PII it will show the version of the firmware.
Once you know the version dowload the matching version of profilux control.

Using the matching firmware/ProfiluxControl you will thne be able to upgrade to the latest firmware and ProfiluxControl.

Always upgrade the firmware before updating the ProfiluxControl software

I have another quick question.
Does the profilux software for the PII+ Version 4.08 work with windows 7?

My laptop is dying and I must purchase a new one and all that is sold now are those that come with Windows 7.

yep will... you canalso update to FW 5.X on the PII and use the new version Profilux Control 6 version that is writen in .net

On the new windows 7 laptop can I download software 4.08 and Firmware 4.08, and install sucessfully?
If so, then I can upgrade.

Also, where can I download the USB drivers for Profilux II at, I have misplaced the CD?
I found the ones for PIII but not II.

I used the USB driver and it seems to work fine.
But now I can't seem to save my settings.

I get this error message.

Any ideas?

did you install as Admin?

installation and using of PLC under the same user account?

could you check if this file is present in the program directory of PLC?

what version of firmware are you running on the Profilux?

what version of Profilux Control?

Some of the older version did not have all of the file deffinition so you have to update to a newer firmware of downgrade temporarely the version of ProfiluxControl.

if you plan on going from firmware family version 4 to 5, the configuration are not compatible and it's easier just to upload to the lates and to recreate the configuration.
