250w halide balast on power bar

I would like to know if I need to use a contactor with a 250w electronic dimmable balast.

At present i am running a 150w with no contactor on the power bar (approx. 4 yrs) with this setup ,to be upgraded to 250w soon.

any advice

but if the question was if a socket can drive 250W MH - yes
