rs232 to usb converter

I have the profilux 2 plus and wondering if I can use this rs232 to usb converter to connect to my laptop.

right now I am using the usb to usb connection and able to change somethings on the laptop others just show communication errors!!

I know the rs232 to usb converter is used for firmware upgrade so wondering if it would connect faster to my laptop!!

Yes you can use it and I think it is more stable too.
