View Full Version : T5's on Dimmable Power Bar - Flickering T5s at low power

My Advance Mark 10 ballasts dim my T5's fine until they get around 5% and then the bulbs start acting like lightning bolts. It's driving me nuts. Yes, I burned these in for over 100 hours. Is this normal? Is it possible to dim down to say 7 or 8% and then go straight to off?

maybe these tubes are not optimally suited for dimming

in this case you can increase the lower dimming point:
change the minimum voltage of the corresponding 1-10V-interface, e.g. 2V instead 1V

These are Giesemann bulbs and I am using a dimmable power bar to control them. I know I can change the dimming points through the controller, but how to stop dimming at something like 8% and then directly switch off the bulb? Thanks.

-> you achieve this when you follow my suggestions in the previous post

OK, thanks. I will check this when I get home from the office today. It's not readily apparent how I go about doing this, but I will check the manual when I get home.

Thanks Matthias. I found the 0-10V setting in the controller and changed from 1V to 2V and it worked perfectly!
