Important:
With 5.00n it is possible that some data in ProfiLux 3 disappear after a powercut (PAB-configuration and measurement values)

!Please update to 5.00o if you are using 5.00n!
(don't forget to assign devices in PAB if devices are present after updating)

further new after wished many times:
It is possible to browse now directly to every web page of the ProfiLux 3 without going over the login page, the login data can be transmitted with the address, e.g.:
http://192.168.0.111/sensors.html?name=Admin&pass=123 (http://192.168.0.111/sensors.html?name=Admin&pass=123)

I can't image that some many users have a bad connection/wifi (right before the newest plc) or even via usb. (my last FW update failed over usb ).

Anway I'm confident GHL will find the issue and solve it.
Even with the new plc and fb the communication is still 'shaky' under the covers it reconnects (via wifi) but reconnecting doesn't 'solve' the isssue.

when firmware updating what is the prefered route ... usb or network or serial?

Does it say successfully completed update, so you know its done?

i have been having trouble of late. Thanks in advance for any help.

Lately i am using USB without any problems, but serial cable is good as well.

I'm using serial via usb. last atempt via usb resulted in the failed flash. I could offcourse recover via FR flash (via serial).

I'm wondering how you can recover from the failed flash on the PAB device (I never had this issue ,but yesterday I updated my ex box and I started wondering , Matthias ?

using RS232 and USB are OK for updating the firmware

there is no need for recoverys because there is a complete different update mechanism compared to ProfiLux - even if the update fails the PAB device will "keep alive" and wait for a new update

good to know that it is 'n00b' proof :)

But I still have another question => what states will for example will the sockets take of a PAB powerbar. If you are overwriting and it failed can it be that they end up in an 'undefined'/wrong state ?

If your update failed on the PowerbarPAB, all sockets are in off state. This is also the case during the update.
