Hi

I've tried to help someone connect via LAN on thier PIII, the issue is they are using a crossover cable, and obviously therefore are not having a DCHP IP address allocated as you usually would with a router.

I wondered if anyone else had attempted this approach as setting the IP address as static within the profilux application (via usb) yielded no results. I wondered specifically what default gateway/subnet anyone had used to achieve connectivity.

Thanks

Gary

Well, we tried to no avail. Any suggestions?

We have the networks bridged, but cannot get access to the network.

Did you use the static ip funtionality within the profilux software?

Remember to switch off ProfiLux and switch it on again after changing IP address

ip of p3: 192.168.1.50
ip of PC: 192.168.1.51
mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.1.1

yes the P3 has to be powercycled

I got it to work!

I upgraded to firmware n, profilux control 5.0.10

Then inputted these settings...
ip of p3: 192.168.2.7
ip of PC: 192.168.2.8
mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.2.1

Bridged my wireless connection, and the lan connection...

restarted PC, and P3, VOILA!

I can access it from IE8 now. Now if only I can get it to work on my iphone! lol

Thanks to everyone for their input, but especially Gary. You tried to get it to work for over 2 hours, and I learned a TON watching you play with all the settings. Thanks again!
