I'm now the proud owner of a Profilux II+Ex (what a good way to combine my passion for marines and gadgets)!

However, I'm a little confused, even with the advice already given here. I have upgraded the firmware to 4.08 but I notice that version 5.xx is available. Is this compatible with the Profilux II+Ex? Should I upgrade again to this version? What are the changes?

Apologies if this has already been covered - please be patient as I am still learning!

Yes, you should because firmware 5.xx is much more stabel!

There are several changes but the biggest for me is that you need to setup a dosing unit under the timer options.

However when you update you have to reconfiger all propes because all pre-installed settings are losts! To update the firmware you have to use the new ProfiLuxControl 5.0.0.9 application.

Thanks DD - I think I understand, though perhaps I might just leave 4.08 until I learn more about the system. No doubt my curiosity will change my thinking!
