View Full Version : Issue connecting Doser 2 EXT

I have an existing Profilux 4 with two Doser 2 EXT units on the PAB as 1-4 and 5-8. I have added a new doser and it’s a 2.2 EXT model and while it is showing in the PAB configure screen the settings cog doesn’t appear next to it like it does for the other dozers, so I can’t set it to 9-12. It’s responding on 1-4 just fine and running identically to the existing Doser 2 already configured on those channels. My Profilux is latest firmware 7.25 and I’ve tried many power on/off cycles on the doser and the Profilux. The 2.2 EXT is running firmware 1.46. How can I change the start channel number for it?

Hello Susan,

The problem is that the firmware on your ProfiLux is too old.

The latest is 7.36, available with the latest GHL Control Center here: https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/downloads/ghl-control-center-1-1-4-7/

I did exactly that before posting, and 7.25 is the (latest) firmware version it offered me. How can I update to a newer version (7.36) when the GHL Control Centre says I'm already running the latest firmware?
[Edit] I might try upgrading GHL Control Centre to see if it gives me a newer firmware option for my Profilux.

Yes, as I told you, you need to update GCC first.

After upgrading GHL Control Center to the latest version I was able to upgrade the Profilux to 7.36 (current version).
Then I restored the settings from file backup.
The system is back running normally, but the PAB assign page is now blank - no PAB devices showing at all (although they are working correctly).
I tried a power cycle of the Profilux, didn't change.
I updated my iPhone app to the latest version and reconnected, same - no PAB devices showing at all now.
What is the next step?

Once you're on the page of currently assigned devices, when you click on the assign button, the window that opens where you can check off the devices to be assigned is empty?
