Hi there

My temp is stuck at 0.0c after an upgrade from 4.08 to 5
The settings import did not work stating there is so serial number in the import

the control program shows my s/n as 1001092047 which is correct

Can you help?
Paul

settings can't be imported from 4.xx to 5.xx because the firmware is not compatible

it seem you lost your temp.- calibration data

this can be solved in this way:
- first ensure that the measurement range is correct (pond or tank)
- open the version 4.xx sensorsettings-file with an texteditor (e.g. notepad)
- search for the line with "CODE_SENSORPARA1ITEM2" - the value behind is ADC1
- search for the line with "CODE_SENSORPARA1ITEM2" - the value behind is ADC2
- now enter these 2 values: Click "Calibrate..." in the temp. section of ProfiLuxControl

Sounds simple enough, thanks

Erm, you've said search for the same value twice

SENSORPARA1ITEM2
SENSORPARA1ITEM2

Do you mean:
SENSORPARA1ITEM1 (notice the 1)
SENSORPARA1ITEM2

Or even 2 and 3?

Paul, did you see that the operation is set to off?

Paul
03.03.2010, 22:48
Thanks for coming back to me, yes I did see that, it makes no difference whether it's on or off the reading on the screen is still wrong, currently in my tank set to 26c and showing 13c on screen :(

I think the calabration is definatley out, but lines 32 and 33 match 36 and 37 on the new config, most bizarre.

they are wrong:
34, "CODE_SENSORPARA1ITEM0", 0
35, "CODE_SENSORPARA1ITEM1", 260

please change 34 and 35 to 200 and 300 in the file, than load file back to ProfiLux

Thanks Matthias, that seems to have done the trick, I had to dash to work straight after so I'll check again from home, but it changed from 13c to 27c which is much more likely to be correct.

Just to close the thread, my temp readings are back to normal.

I'm so glad I made a copy of my settings before I upgraded the firmware :)

Much releived

one question is open for me - why did it happen?

Did you load the 4.xx sensor settings to the 5.xx firmware?
This is not possible because the firmware is not compatible.
In the next version of ProfiLuxControl I will add a protection against this, so it can not happen accidentally in the future.

Paul

Yes I did try and load my old settings back, I misunderstood when it said they would have to be entered again.
