Thanks for responding.Have read the articles.Every time I try to connect to Wi-Fi it says wrong password.Not sure if it’s trying to use previous owners password

Do you have a Windows computer?
You can then use GHL Control Center software with USB to edit settings.

No computer.Just iPhone.Could you tell me if that’s only option to fix issue.Thanks

So you confirm to me that you see the Wi-Fi hotspot network emitted by the doser but that you cannot connect to it because the Wi-Fi security key is refused (it is no longer "Starfish" that's it?
Don't you have the possibility to ask the previous owner for the security key he put or else can't you borrow a Windows laptop?

Talked to you yesterday.Having issue trying to connect to doser I just bought used.Talked to seller but he doesn’t remember password.He sent me a link that explains how to reset to factory settings but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it.I’m using a chrome book but not sure if that will work or if I’ll need a pc or different laptop.

Yes absolutely, my question was about your last request "Could you tell me how to put gcc in extended mode".

For your problem which is "how to reset/change the wifi security key" you need a computer running Microsoft Windows in order to be able to run the GHL Control Center software (https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/downloads/ghl-control-center-v1-1-4-0/)

Yes.Disk drive is not showing up that it downloaded

Not sure how to send screen shot.Computer keeps saying unknown usb device(device descriptor request failed).When I look under device status it says windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.(code 43).I tried plugging and unplugging usb cable.Also uninstalled and reinstalled but same problem.

Did you tried or can you try another USB port, and another USB cable if you have?
Did you tried or can you try with USB hub as suggested in kb article?
Maybe another computer?

Tried 2 other ports and same issue.Don’t have another cable or hub.I don’t have access to windows computer so I have been driving 20 minutes each way to and from his house trying to figure this out.This has turned into a real nightmare and waste of your and my time with this issue.Previos owner sent me something from online which he says should fix issue but I am not having any success.He hasn’t responded back today since I reach out to him.I’m not going to spend anymore time,money and effort with this.He should have reset to factory mod before sending to me and know I’m stuck trying to fix this issue.Thank You very much for all your time and effort with this issue.

I fully understand your frustration and I'm sorry for that. GHL can hardly do more for a second-hand device, it is indeed the responsibility of the person who sold you. When you have made progress on your problem, do not hesitate to ask for assistance if necessary on this forum for any need related to use.
