View Full Version : Big swings in the conductivity probe

Hello,

I have been comparing lately some charts with people that have P4 and I noticed that their conductivity is quite stable. Mine however is not at all.
Here is how it looks at the moment:

The probes are in the chamber before ATO, so the FW would have to pass the entire system before reaching them.
At the recommendation of Vinny I changed the filter setting to strong but it had no effect.

Comparing my charts with others, this is clearly not normal.

Can you help me with this? What can I do about this?

What reaction do you get if you place the sensor in a cup of tank water for 24 hours?

It is not 24 hours yet but this is the reaction.

I used water from the tank and got a huge drop in salinity. It seems it has started rising. Will keep you updated after 24h.

After ~22h this is how it looks. Seems to still be rising, maybe due to evaporation in part...

What do you think?

If your evaporation rate is that high, it would be better to replace with a new cup so you can see if the stability remains.

Hello, so I left the probe in a bigger cup for more time.
Here is the graph.

After first try I moved the probe back to tank, then back to a larger cup and left it there, it is still there and I am not touching the cup in any way.

Later Edit: even longer:

What can I do about this? The behavior is present since I bought the P4.

It may be best to replace the probe.

If it was purchased recently, open a support ticket for further assistance.
