email notifications

For a long time my email notifications have been nonfunctional when I set my P4 to a static IP
but a brief time I had them up and running, that was until I updated the wifi module...

Now they are out of order again, I am using the exact same setting as when they where running so it's a mystery to me


Also I have a hard time saving my app setting in the cloud, Ive been writing back and forth about this but there was never a solution

Is it possible to make a small and foolproof guide for setting this up ?

From time-to-time email providers will change their security requirements which may interrupt the P4's email feature. Google has done this a few times already and users have had to change their settings to allow the P4 to continue sending emails from their gmail account.

Well, as I wrote the settings worked fine before updating the WiFi Module, so I think it's a firmware issue, and it is not a new one, I issued it a couple of times before

Current Wi-Fi chip firmware is 7134.

If need be, update both the Wi-Fi chip and web interface following the steps in the Knowledge Base.

I just did, it was after this the email notifications stopped working
Ive been there before, setting a static IP renders the function useless
