Upgrading from 3 3x to 4 ?

Hello everyone,

I have a question if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a profilux controller model 3 3x controlling lots of equipment through 5 pabs.

Is it possible to upgrade to the new profilux 4 but keeping the same pabs and current configuration? meaning if I back up all settings can I just change the controller and upload my settings from file? would that work?

Hello Kostas,

Although you can still use the existing 5 PAB-devices, transferring settings over to a P4 would not be doable since these are different products with different hardware. The most efficient way to transfer these over to the P4 is to connect to both at the same time using GCC and do a split screen view to copy the settings from the P3.

So just to make clear the new profililux 4 can communicate with my previous generation powerbars, just need to remove older profilux, connect new model and do a complete set up from beginning, correct ??
