I'm a little bit confused. I will soon have a Profilux II Light, and I need to dim two halide lamps 12V with electronic transformer. In an earlier mail I was told that a 1-10V interface will solve the problem. But the confusion is: is a 1-10V interface the same as a DALI?
Isn't DALI only for t5 and t8?? And further, is it necessary with a LF-ABOX?
Will it be possible to dim to 0-100% and will it shut of complete at 0%?:confused::confused:

To dim a 12V Halide lamps you need the Powerdim or a second source electronic transformer with 1-10V control and an LF-Abox or dali control with an internal switch-off.

Dali itself need special dali balasts or dali transformators or other devices with DALI interfaces to be usefull. Many ablication are possible with it. It is only a different way to "say" the balasts what they should do. (like chanel 1 dim to 10%, chanel 2 dim to 80 % and so on till chanel 64) Mostly a Dali balast or transformator as in internal switch of. You dont need a LF-ABox with DALI than.

And by Powerdim you mean Powerbar2Dim-D?
This can then handle from 0-1500W, it has 2 chanels, and is functional with Profilux II Light?

Yes talking about the Powerbar2Dim-D.

Just make sure you got a transformator that is dimmable with phase control.

The Powerbar2Dim-D can handle 1800 Watt max, got 2 chanels and is functional with the Light Computer.
