Mitras Flexmount System 1 Wall Mounting

Hi - I'm new to GHL and looking to switch from Apex for my new tank, looks like you make some great products! I'm interested in the Mitras 7206 and like the idea of a complete GHL system.

I want to use the Mitras Flexmount System 1 but my cabinet is steel framed with an open back so I have nowhere to fix the mounts to, is it possible to fix them to the wall behind the stand?

Hello Steve,

With some modification to the mount you can certainly mount it to the wall. You can do it by drilling the tall frame and attaching it to the wall with a couple screws evenly spaced.

Thanks Vinny I've found some saddle brackets that I can mount to the wall and will stand off around 75mm which will bring them out almost to the back of the cabinet so might be a perfect option. That way I can mount through the bracket instead of the stand and so shouldn't need to modify the flex mount.
