Wireless Router on PIII ?

Hi,

I did some research to go wireless with my new PIII, and using a wireless ethernet bridge, I should be able to connect my PIII wirelessly to my network ?

Is a wireless ethernet bridge the same as a Wireless Router ?

Is there any brand that should be avoid due to compatibility issue and some brand that are known to work better ?
