Redundant Power Supplies

I had my first failure last week and it turned out to be the power supply for the ProfiLux 3. This got me thinking and I wanted to see if anyone requested a redundant power supply for the ProfiLux controller. Working in IT, I never purchase any critical system without a redundant power supply and it would be awesome if the most import part of my aquarium had this safeguard.

100% agree!
Redundant power for a critical system is very important.

I also think two other features / products should be created:
1) A dedicate backup battery (Ecotech style, which out lasts typical UPS by a factor of 4), which the Profilux would detect and be able to change the power states of certain switches. I run my plug bar from a UPS, but I would like to control what is needed during an outage.
2) A secondary / passive Profilux, which would take over operations if the active fails.
