Looking at adding a Doser Maxi to my set up to carry out the following tasks:

Primary task: feed my No3 reactor with approx 200ml of water p/min ie more or less 3mins run time and 2mins off time based on the 320ml max output of the unit

Secondary task would be to manage my Kalkwasser feed with approx 4-5ltrs dosing p/day

My questions/concerns are:

1) how well would the doser stand up to being run 3min on and 2min off on one channel ?
2) whilst the 2nd channel would have a much lighter utilisation it will of course run during the same time as channel 1 at some point, is that an issue ?

This would be run as a stand alone unit and interfaced via the GHL Connect app.

Thanks

Vinny

Hi,

The motors would be run independently from each other so there is no problem there.

If you only need to feed 200ml to the NO3 reactor over the day and feed 4-5L, the motors are suitable for that kind of usage.

Hi Vinny thanks for the reply. The 4-5ltrs p/day is for the Kalkwasser, the No3 reactors requires around 220ltrs a day...

will a Doser Maxi be able to cope with that ?

Yes, thats no problem for the Doser Maxi. One dosing pump can dose up to 460ltrs a day.

Thanks Thilo that is great to know.

Just to double check (sorry) it will be dosing this approx 220ltrs p/day every day, 365: it's up to that job ?

If yes then i'll order one.

Yes, the Maxi Doser can handle that. But the wear parts then last correspondingly less long.

For more information see the following excerpt from the product page:

Maintenance & wear parts
The pumps are largely maintenance-free. For optimal performance, we recommend occasionally cleaning and removing dust and other impurities from the inside of the pumps. In order to reduce noise during operation it is allowed to lubricate the pump with vaseline.

Tubes, pumps and motors are wear parts, the life time depends on the use frequency, flow quantity and environmental conditions.

Average lifetime: 5000 hours for the motor, 800 hours for the pump head.
When malfunctions (e.g. insufficient flow, losing prime, leakage, increased operation noise) or mechanical damages occur the pump head or motor must be replaced. Due to the maintenance-friendly design wear parts can be replaced easily, wear parts are available as accessories.
