Hi Guys.

Just installed the P3 today and my previous lighting schedules were:

Illumination Start Duration Brightness
Illumination 1 10:00am 5 5%
4:30AM 5 0%
Description Blue / White LED Rear

Illumination 2 6:00am 235 50%
10:00am 5 0%
Description Red LED Rear

Illumination 3 10:00pm 5 5%
4:30am 5 0%
Description Blue / White Led Front

Illumination 4 6:00am 235 50%
10:00am 5 0%
Description Red LED Front

Illumination 5 10:00AM 115 50%
12:00pm 5 0%
6:50pm 5 100%
8:30pm 90 0%
Description T5 Actinic Front

Illumination 6 10:00AM 115 50%
12:00pm 5 0%
6:50pm 5 100%
8:30pm 90 0%
Description T5 Actinic Rear

Just wondering how I adjust the settings for duration now with the new system. Can't seem to find it under illumination.

Thanks

You don't have to set the duration for dimming anymore. Now you have to define the number of dimming points and for each of this point you'll have to set the time and which percentage the light shall have at this time.
This is also described in the manual for ProfiLux 3, for further information please have a look there.

Could you show me an example of say one of the above? I have had a look through he manual and was confused.

If you set following dimming points:

6:00am 0%
11:00am 100%
3:00pm 100%
9:00pm 0%

you've got following behaviour:

Before 6:00am your light is off (0%). At 6:00am the light increase brightness until 11:00am. At 11:00am the brightness is at 100% (takes 5 hours). The brightness stay at 100% until 3:00pm. Then the brightness decrease until 9:00pm (takes 6 hours) to 0%. The light stays off until 6:00am next morning.

You don't have to set the duration for dimming anymore, because it is defined through your diming points.

Just wondering why my lighting schedule in the evening wouldnt turn on.

I have it set to the following:

1 - 10:00am 0%
2 - 12:00pm 100%
3 - 12:00pm 0%
4 - 6:50pm 0%
5 - 6:50pm 100%
6 - 10:00pm 0%

I thought this would have worked. But it seems it turns the lights off at 6:50pm and they never turn back on till 10am in the morning.

2 - 10:00pm 0%
3 - 10:00pm 5%

You have it going to 100% at 12..00 pm not am and turning off at the same time.
Think you should have
1 - 10.00am 0%
2 - 12.00 am 100%
3 - 6.50 pm 100%
4 - 10.00 pm 0%

Im confused.

What I want is the following:

1 - 10:00am 0%
2 - 12:00pm 100%
3 - 12:00pm 0%
4 - 6:50pm 0%
5 - 6:50pm 100%
6 - 10:00pm 0%

Lights on at 10:00am gradually get to 100% by 12pm (Lunchtime) then Turn Off.
At 6:50pm I want the lights to turn On at 100% and Reduce Brightness to 0% by 10:00pm then turn Off.

For the other lights I want the following:

1 - 4:30am 0%
2 - 10:00pm 0%
3 - 10:00pm 5%

Lights Turn On at 10:00pm at 5% and gradually get darker till 0% at 4:30am and then to Turn Off at 4:30am.

Didn't make a difference. Can anyone from Profilux / GHL assist Please? Have I done something wrong? I need to get this working ASAP.

I guess you don't have the matching manual
the settings for illumination had been changed in P3 compared to PII firmware 4.08
here is the correct manual, there is an example:

I did read the manual, and also based on Frank's advice above set it as per my settings above. But it is still not working. Can you please point me in the right direction.

The dimming points are a lot nicer than the old ones. From what the PIII manual says, dimming of the lights, up or down, will occur gradually over the course of the points you have established? So, if I want my LED's to ramp up in the morning over the course of an hour, all I have to do is set my dimming points for time/duration and percentage and the lights will ramp up to say 100% over the course of that hour.

One more thing. If I want to use this same LED light for my moonlighting, is all I have to do is select moonlight under its illumination channel and then set its start and end time?

I just recreated the first light scenario and tested it. Everything worked accordingly.

What is the problem? Did you assigned the light preset to the proper L port?

freemchr

This worked perfectly?

1 - 10:00am 0%
2 - 12:00pm 100%
3 - 12:00pm 0%
4 - 6:50pm 0%
5 - 6:50pm 100%
6 - 10:00pm 0%

For me it would not turn on at 6:50pm at all. However worked with the 10am - 12pm schedule.

Yes the L Ports are configured correctly as it works with the first bit of the schedule.

You should try:

1 - 10:00am 0%
2 - 12:00pm 100%
3 - 12:01pm 0%
4 - 6:49pm 0%
5 - 6:50pm 100%
6 - 10:00pm 0%

note: 2 points must not have the same time - there must be a difference of 1 minute at least

Was able to get mine working last night. Was pretty easy compared to early versions.

I am not sure I have the moon lights set-up correctly though. I checked the same LED's that I use for sunrise and sunset as the ones I want for moon lighting and set the time, but did not see that they came on. Any suggestions?

You should try:

1 - 10:00am 0%
2 - 12:00pm 100%
3 - 12:01pm 0%
4 - 6:49pm 0%
5 - 6:50pm 100%
6 - 10:00pm 0%

note: 2 points must not have the same time - there must be a difference of 1 minute at least

Frank, Tested in the illumination scenarios and worked perfectly. Thanks again for your help. Made my day!
