Following the formula T= Nominal Temp + 5/6*Hys + cooling Diff.
T=24.9+(5/6*0.15)+0.2
Should give give a stable temp of 25.2?
And it does.
What do I need to change to give me a temp swing of 0.5c as at the moment my chiller is running on/off all day to maintain my desired 25.2.
Id prefer a swing of 0.5c and then dropping back down to 25.2 so chiller runs for longer

Would give me a static temp of 25.7? Using that formula?
I want 25.2....want it to creep up to 25.7, and then run back down to 25.2,cool at night to 24.7,heat back to 25.2....not sure if this is possible. Just don't like my chiller running every 5 mins

If you're looking to make the tank cooler at night, use the noctural change feature in the temperature probe settings page.
This will allow you to specify the night-time temperature change (0.5C) and the time at which this change should occur.

I don't want it cooler. I just view half a degree as an acceptable swing before something, whether heating or cooling is performed.
I'm thinking my best bet is a virtual probe for heating, and use the actual probe for cooling?

Unless someone can give me a formula for a desired temp of 25.2, swing of 0.5 either way, but actual heating/cooling to that 25.2. Everything I have tried either leaves me sitting higher than desired or at my level but with chiller running every 5 mins
