Hi, i have an issue, i currently have 2 6100hv on my 5 foot tank, i am upgrading to a 7 ft tank and require a third light, finding it hard to pick another light up second hand, my plan was to pick up a second hand light and upgrade the clusters in the 3 lights as the two i have need clusters replaced, any help would be grateful?

Hi,

Your upgrade path will depend on whether you want to keep the 6100 version clusters or want to use the newest 6300 clusters.

My recommendation would be to upgrade all 3 fixtures to the 6300 clusters because these will provide you with the same led configuration found on our Mitras LX 7206 fixture which includes a UV channel.

In order to upgrade 1 fixture, you will need to purchase 3 packs (each pack comes with 2 clusters).

For 3 fixtures, you would need 9 packs.

Hi Vinny, thats what i taught was the best option, only issue is i currently only have 2 lights and require a third, my plan was to try and pick up a second hand light and then upgrade all three but am finding it hard to source one.
