I am about to set up a small frag tank, for sps corals. The corals are gonna be under 20cm of water (more or less), and the measure ments is 45x32cm, how many lightbars would be needed to grow sps there?

i was thinking about getting 2x Mitras Lightbar Actinic as they have a kelvin at about 14k. Would that be enought or?

Hi,

For that size aquarium with mainly SPS, 2 Mitras Lightbars would be plenty.

I suggest getting 1x Actinic and 1x Deep Actinic to achieve a more "complete" spectrum.

As a side note...Mitras LX and Mitras Lightbars are two separate products. :)

Hi

Thanks, must be the summerheat getting to me :)

You dont think 2 bars over so small a area would make the corals to each side of them look "odd" ? as they will get diffrent spectrum on each side of the 2 bars?
what about 2x deep actinic?

Not exactly. The color blending between both Lightbar types would provide sufficient blending to provide a nicer overall spectrum to your coral. The spread of each LB will overlap the other LB and blend all channels nicely.

Perfect, thanks for the help!
