Optical sensor will only work once

Hi,

I have just updated the firmware on my unit to 5.00g from the earlier firmware and now my optical sensor on level 1 does not work. It was working fine on the previous firmware.

If I unplug the sensor from Level 1 and then plug it back in again it works once but then does not sense the water levels again.

If the water level is low and I wipe the sensor with my finger it then senses the water and starts the pump. I have cleaned the sensor thoroughly and it seems to be fine.

I don't have a splitter cable or anything else plugged in, just the optical sensor plugged straight into Level 1.

Any ideas why this would be occuring?

this has nothing to do with the firmware update, it looks like a coincidence - the sensor stopped working at the same time

please contact your retailer for a replacement in the case there is still warranty
