Doser gen 1

I have a doser gen 1 that has been in the cupboard for ages and I thought i would get it out and set it up, i cant remember the led set up should the comms LED be on all the time? as my dosser is not responding to anything I have connected to S5-S8 socket I also have the corresponding box ticked in the sockets secThe cabtion.

any one know what this could be?

i have worked out it is the cable,

is the rj12 cable crossed pins or straight through?

it is a standard RJ12 6P6C cable straight through.
