could some one put a screen shot up of how they setup there GHL app for outside the network

i have port forwarding running from previous ghl app that worked fine but cant seem to get it

what i want to know is how you enter the host/ip : previously i would put in my ip then :80 and it would work but cant seem to make that work now?

you dont have to show you ip just how you attached the port number at the end as i might be missing something.

thanks

Port forwarding with another port than 10001 (P3, Doser) or port 80 (P4) is first supported with app version 0.14.0. From this version you can edit the port on my devices page on a separate input field.
Please notice that this is still not working on iOS with P3 or Doser because of a bug. We will fix this as soon as possible within the coming version 0.14.4.

Ok Thilo thank you glad I am not going mad and can’t get to work
Is 0.14.4 expected soon?

So to confirm it dose not work for current version of app for P3?

Ok I have just had update tonight and see port number now
So should this work now ?

We’ll I can’t believe it all day I have been trying to work out and seen app update for my iphone x and now I can see port and it works from outside network on port 10001

Setup port forwarding for port 10001 and straight away it works

Thank you GHL

Just to let you know the app is very slow to load on outside network for me
I have very fast 4G mobile data

Not complaining but just thought I would let you know

I am very happy it’s now working

It doesn't work with P3 or Doser (except port 10001) on iOS with the current App Version.
Version 0.14.4 will be released as soon as possible, I think within this week.

Thilo an update was released 0.14.2 I seen yesterday so I updated and now can see port number in app
I create new port forwarding from router and app now works outside network

Is there any difference from using port 10001 instead of port 80?

Thank you

10001 is the default port for ProfiLux 3 and Doser 2/Maxi, but normally port forwarding should work with any port.
I've found the issue why it's not working correctly on iOS and I try to release a new app version today.

I hope this issue is resolved soon... also in pl3 you need to assign passwords to admin and guest users as dedicate external port so suggest this option becomes available in app as well to avoid conflict...

This issue is resolved with with version 0.14.4 from Wednesday/Thursday last week.

Please try to remove your device from MyDevices page and add it again.

Is that the My Devices page on the app?
If yes, have done it and still does not work.

Could you please send us your connection settings from the app and your device network settings to support@ghl-kl.de, we will then check what could be the problem.

Still not working. The only difference I can see compared to GHL Profilux is the need to enter password.

It works when I'm at home network but not from outside home network.

Do you forward to port 10001 now?
Do you mean it works with port forwarding within home network or direct access?

The password is not necessary for the new app, we have added PIN support for security.

You could also try using a VPN for connecting from outside home network.

I'm not sure why I should be forwarding it to 10001, when I still can access from outside home network using web browser or the old app using the port I have chosen using dynamic dns.

I have tried to forward to port 10001 but still have the same error

Because the new App uses Port 10001 for connecting to ProfiLux 3.

Is it working on GHL Control Center with this change?
Which port did you change? You need to replace port 80 with 10001.

I have chsnged the 80 to a different port(xyz) to access from outside. This works with every way other than the app.

I have managed to get this to work by opening up 10001 on the router and forwarding it to 10001.

I am starting to feel a little defeated. While I don't claim to be a networking expert, I know my way around a router interface and have set up port forwarding many times in the past. I am, however, unable to access my doser using the GHL Connect app from outside my home network. I am able to connect to it with GHL Connect within my home network without problems using the doser's reserved internal IP address. I have set up an account with a DDNS provider (noip.com), given my doser a static ip address in my network and have set up port forwarding to us port 10001 for both external and internal. No matter what I try, I can't seem to connect to the doser from outside of the network. This shouldn't be this difficult.

You need to add the port number at th end of the access address

E.g. aygghb@ddns.net:10001

Hello,

can you access your Doser 2 with GHL Control Center from outside with the given external address?

If so, it should work with GHL Connect, too.

I am not able to connect to GHL Control Center from outside with the external address and I have been using the port number at the end of the address. hostname.ddns.net:10001 where hostname is the name of my ddns name reserved with noip.com. If I drop off the port number, I am able to access my router control panel externally so it would appear that there is a problem with the port forwarding to the doser. Also myghl.com works fine.

If both, GHL Connect and GHL Control Center are not working from outside,
it is most likely a port-forwarding problem in your setup.

Check your router settings and/or reconfigure the portforwarding, you could also try setting another external port redirecting
to tcp:10001.

Been following this hoping for a fix, I can’t connect to GHL connect using my ddns account, however I can connect to profilux and dashboard, Iv tried on port 10001 and port 80, I can connect to all three if I’m at home, it’s only GHL connect I can’t connect to while I’m away.

What happens when you try to connect from outside network using your ddns on a web browser ?

In the app the host name should you your ddns address.
Make sure your port is opened and forwarded correctly

If it wasn’t set up properly I wouldn’t be able to connect to dashboard, if I put my dns into the browser I get ghl dashboard

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a connection with the new App.

Both LAN and WAN connections works with the old app, but with the new one, I get nothing.
Connection fails with the exact same settings. Router is set up correctly, as everything works with the old app.

What am I missing? I've tried adding the port at the end of the IP, but that doesn't work either.
Thanks in advance for any tips!

Just use standard port or 10001 if it's P3, I think it's different for P4.

Thanks! I tried that, and it wants me to update the firmware first.
I may just stick with the old app for now, as I'm happy with my settings.

New app: external IP, random port (I used
4650).

Router: forward port 4650 (or whatever you choose) to port 80 on your profilux)

Try to avoid port 80 externally. Security issue plus a lot of isp block the port to avoid web servers.

It does not need to be 80.
I use a completely different port and works well. For the new app, it works with the standard port
