email notification via gmail: please help

I've followed the guide posted here:

running GCC V1.1.0.3
Firmware 7.08
I've updated the wifi firmware as well via the webserver

I followed what several people did that had success with setting up the email notification, found here:

I've made sure and enabled 'less secure apps' and disabled the captcha for gmail following the provided links in the two previous links.

I've tried 'test' several times with no success.

What am I missing?

I had the same problem at first too, had everything setup correctly. I ended up toggling off and on "allow less secure apps" in google and did the captcha again and now it works. I read somewhere that you need to do this on the computer that GCC is installed not sure if that makes a difference or not.

All I did was fill in the GCC email page as per the pic and it works. Dont know if this help
