When I upgraded my P2+ to a P2+ex I lost all my decriptions. For example, on the screen showing all the sockets, the column where you add a description, poof gone. Another example, on the dosing pump screen, the descriptions there were lost also.
Will this happen again? Will any information be lost? Illumination channels, dosing info, programmable logic?

The upgrade from Profilux Plus II to Profilux Plus II eX lost the data.

I am wondering if it will happen again from Profilux Plus II eX to Profilux 3 eX.

If i am not mistaken you will lose all settings since it is a new device. I don't know if you can save (export) your old settings and import them back into PIII. This is something GHL has to answer.

Easy Answer: all data will be lost.
Easy Explain: the Profilux3 and his data is so much more complex but it should not be a problem to reconfigure the PL3 with the PL Control.

You are correct, all data was lost. Glad I wrote it all down.
Also good to see there is an export function on the P3 for settings.
The complete upgrade including all the reprogramming and re calibrating of 4 sensors, 18 sockets, 4 dosing pumps, 3 levels, 8 illumination channels and a couple programmable events took about 2.5 hours.

A note for those who do dosing. The way the dosing was displayed and programmed before has changed. It is now located under the timers section.

What do I have to buy to go beyond 24 sockets?

You require PAB power bars that plugs into a PAB outlet on the back of the ProfiLux 3

My current configuration has 3 digital powerbars and 1 4 pump doser. The doser is socket 19-22.
If I want to add only 4 more dosing pumps what do I need then?

new software will enable S1-S4 digital input to be programmed from Socket 32upwards

Socket 25-31 are coded for internal uses from my understanding.
