Hi -

The Doser 2, to me, seems to be the best dosing option out there for my needs. I already have an Apex DOS but two pumps is limiting and the size of the unit prevents me from adding more easily.

I do not have access to a PC of any kind however and this is what's holding me back from moving forward with a Doser 2. As I understand it, with a Mac only household, I can utilize all the Doser 2 programming feature but will not be able to update the firmware?

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Unless you have a PC you can borrow or run Windows using Bootcamp, you will not be able to access the doser's internal settings.

This includes:
- Firmware updates
- WiFi/LAN settings
- myGHL setup
- Change pump numbering if you purchase another doser 2 and connect it via PAB

You can still program the dosing pumps, refill containers, calibrate pumps, from the app.

Another option would be to purchase an inexpensive PC laptop. :)

Thanks, I appreciate the comprehensive answer. Unfortunately, I'll have to make the DOS work given this. I thought I read a while back that a Mac version was in the works, did that bite the dust?

Also, if I use Parallels on a Mac would I be able to access these functions?

Parallels is another option. Just be aware that our community of Mac users reported having the most success with Bootcamp.

Do you recall what issues or limitations ppl experienced via the Parallels route?

Thanks for this news - makes me much more comfortable buying the Doser 2!

Unfortunately, I JUST missed the Memorial Day 15% discount. Ugh.
