So I'm trying to do the computer updates for the first time...this is all new so forgive me in advance for bein an idiot....I connected to my laptop via the GHL Control Center and tried to update the firmware on my XL 6100. I'm not sure I had the COM port correct but when I initiated the firmware update it said fail, and to unplug the usb cable and replug it in...after I did that, the computer will no longer recognize the device and I can not open it in the control center...help please!

Ok, I unplugged the lamp for a few minutes and was able to run it again with the old software...I guess I'll follow a few of the other threads on running the new firmware updates.

you need to have two drivers. This looks like the problem I had a while back, have a look at this thread.
