Well, Ive tried just about everything, maybe someone here can help.
I tried a firmware update over GCC and it failed. needless to say, i now have to do a emergency update.
No worries, got everything done, but when it tells me to press the reset button. I get nothing?
Now the only thing that I can think of is the RS232 cable is not a GHL.
Will this matter? or no?
I have a P3, now trying to upload with v6.14
Please help.
thanks,
bob

This is all I see, I've unplugged and plugged the DC connection. Is this supposed to work immediately? Is there a delay? What should I see next? Do I need to do something more?
I have a connection through RS232 to USB.
Thoughts?
There are occasional problems with foreign cable. Do you have the right software and instructions for the emegency update?

Ive disconnected the power at the back of the P3, then plugged it back in. Does it matter if it is at the P3 or at the wall outlet?
Yes, Ive got the latest update. But I will double check.

how quick is this process? The screen on the profilux is blank, should I see something if it has started?
I guess what Im asking is, how do I know its working?
quick disconnect, and plug it directly on the PL

Ok, thats exactly what I did. Nothing happens…..
Is there another way of getting it to reset?

blank, but not black? I do not remember exactly, but I think it is because download. It is more important that the software is further runs. Unplug your PL once at least 10 seconds from the mains supply
short instruction:
unplug your PL from AC
run Flashtool an start the Update
if you see the message with "push restet Button" Connect the PL with AC

I don't know how many more combinations I can try….
Is this just a trial and error thing? you'd think it would be a little more straight forward.
