Default [SOLVED] ProfiLuxControl 6 Public BETA crashes

    Hi,

I have installed ProfiLuxControl 6 Public BETA.
After a first start I have entered two different LAN connections as on PC5.
One is internal IP 192.168.178.xxx the other extern dyndns account.
After entering the second one the programm crashed.
Then I was not able to start again even not after removing and installing again en starting up windows again.
Please some advice as I think after removing the lan data is still stored somewhere.
    I use Windows 7 64 bit.

    Regards,

    Ronald

Data is placed in the AppData Directory under the user account directory that you are logged in.

If you dont mind please send me the URL to your dyndns per PM for analytics.

We checked this here: You did enter the wrong URL. Please dont enter "http://xxxxxxxxxxxx.dyndns.org/" but "xxxxxxxxxxxx.dyndns.org"

Sure we will catch this wrong data entry possibility in 6.0.0.8 - for now we can just recommend to shorten the URL as above.

Background: If you connect to your ProfiLux Device, not the HTTP protocol is used, but the SWMB Protocol.

    Sri for mistake,
However after entering the parameters ok it is connecting but loosing the connection very shortly after that.
I had a solid connection on PC-5 over internet.
On the internal IP it was funny enough not alway stable.

    No problem...

Please try to set timeout a little higher for external connections , maybe one of the networks in between isn't that fast.

I have set it at 10000 this is the new maximum I used 20000 in PC-5.
It looks to be ok so far but maybe it is better to allow more then 10000.

So with higher timeouts there are no connection loss problems anymore?

We will allow higher timeouts if it helps...but 10000 should be a lot...
