This display will have the same dimensions like the ProfiLux II display and will also be blue/white. But now it is a graphical display, we can print icons, buttons, etc.

In my opinion it makes no sense to have a full color graphic display in front of the PIII, because:
    - The main unit should still have a reasonable price
    - The display area is too small for a color display
    - We wanted to keep it compatible to the PII system for our existing customers

    BUT:
There will be a full color display with touch screen available - ProfiLux View III !!!
This can be connected to the PAB, all settings can be done on the main unit itself or alternatively on View III.
With this design we keep the initial costs for a ProfiLux III system low, but if you want you can add a graphic color display with touch to the system (maybe later).

The main unit will work alone (without ProfiLux View III).

    Hello,

I have a question in the german thread I found this :

    product comparison between P2 / P3
    ROM 128 kB / 1 MB
    RAM 8k / >1 MB (jetzt FRAM + DRAM)
    Takt 24 MHz / 100 MHz
    Bus 16 Bit / 32 Bit

if you have a p2 and you buy an upgrade kit does it include the faster cpu / ram etc...
or is it only hardware support ( pab , etc... ) but the upgrade P2 will still be slower dan then a P3 ( non upgraded ? )
