Default Recommendation for positionning my mitras on my new thank?

    Hello,
I'm planning to start a new thank which will be:
    120 cm x 90 cm x 60 cm (55cm water height).
I have two LX 6200 hv and one LX 6100 HV.
I'm hesitating between using only the two LX 6200 HV:
    2 mitras.jpg
    Or using all the three.
    3 Mitras.jpg
I suppose, with 3 mitras, I'll be able to push them lower then having a better efficiency.

Please let me know your advices.
    Thanks
    Houman

    Hi Houman,

That's a very useful tool you're using. It definitely helps one visualize their options.

Personally, I would use all 3 fixtures and upgrade them to the 6300 clusters. Here's why:
    • Improved even light distribution which will be better for SPS.
    • You will be able to run each fixture at a lower %, thus improving diode life span.
    • All fixtures will have the newest LEDs, all matching, and include UV.
    • Better simulation effects, if you plan on using these features.
    • You already have 3 fixtures, you may as well use it.

    Hello,
Thank you very much for your very fast and clear answer.
I will start with what I have and I'll log that I'll be able to update to 6300 module.
what are the difrences between 6100 HV, 6200 HV and 6300 modules?
    Thanks

The key differences are in the LED configuration. Each version includes a different selection of LEDS.

    6100 series clusters
These have more red and white LEDs for an overall whiter appearance when running all channels.

    6200 series clusters
These have less white and red LEDs and favor the bluer end of the spectrum.

    6300 series clusters
These have the exact LED configuration you would find on our Mitras LX7. These clusters include a UV channel also.

These are the LEDs found on the 6300 clusters:
    2 x Cree XP-E2 blue, 2 x Cree XT-E Cool White, 2 x Cree XT-E Royal Blue, 1 x Osram Oslon SSL true green, 1 x Osram Oslon SSL Sky White, 1 x Osram Oslon SSL Blue-White, 1 x Osram Oslon SSL Hyper red, 1 x Hyper Violet 425 nm, 1 x Ultra Violet 385 nm
