Probe Problems

Hi, I am having problems with 2 of my probes:

My pH probe reads 6 when the pH is really 7 even when calibrated!

My Redox probe always reads -1000. Any ideas?

All of my probes are 5 years old.

Any ideas on possible causes?

Hi Greg,

Has anything changed in the controller settings or have the probes been moved to a new location?

We recommend calibrating probes every 1-2 months for maintaining consistent accuracy. Even then, probes do have a limit for how long they can be used before even calibration no longer becomes useful.

Once probes fail to hold their calibration for as long as their previous calibration, it is an indication that it may be time to replace the probe. At 5 years old, this could very well be the case.
