When you connect to GHL control center, you will see the firmware version in the general settings page.
It is also viewable from the webserver.

So it looks like I need to download

But how do I get a USB driver for it?
Then I can upgrade to the latest firmware.

yes, 5.xx firmware must be upgraded with PLC 5.xx
driver is not necessary, since you already connected successfully with GCC you already have a working driver on your system
