Magnetic Solenoid

Hello All,
Sorry if this has been asked before but I've been trawling through page after page but can't find anything!
I've seen a GHL magnetic solenoid and wondered if this would be used to replace the need for a RODI resovoir. Just simply been activated by sensors when need ?
Maybe I'm way off the mark but if anyone could shed light I'd be most grateful

These solenoids are to be used for CO2 fed systems for freshwater plants and on Calcium reactors for saltwater.
