Some questions about the SMS module

I was offered a SMS unit, but got a couple of questions

1. Does it have P4 compatibility? (or will it come something new in the new design)
2. Does it have UPS / Battery capability to keep the P4 alive during power out?
3. If yes to question 2, how long will it keep it running?

No, the sms-module is not compatible with P4.

Hi Aleks,

The P4 already has a power monitoring port for backup purposes. With this you will be able to connect a backup power source and run the P4 in case the main power is cut off. How long the P4 will run on this backup will depend on the capacity of the backup battery. This feature will be implemented very soon.

Is that ANY SMS? Or just PAB connected SMS?
