View Full Version : Problem with key control in Profilux Plus II

Hi everyone,

I have a problems with Profilux Plus II.
I can't use profilux using keys on device. Despite the pressing of buttons nothing happens.
I hear only clickin signal ( beep ) when I press buttons.

Other functions of this Profilux works well. I can connect to device by PC app, set everything.
Some times I see blinking Alarm LED only.
on PC app in Remote Control LCD display the same what is on device. There is only http address to GHL.
In remote tab buttons not working too...

When I'm restarting device I see information about detected cards in slots, Intro with eating fish on first line and... that all :-)
When I made firmware update LCD is changed and I see firmware update ... press yes....
So, It looks like LCD and key are OK.

I've made upgrade to firmware 5.15 now.
As you can see there was replaced LCD screen which was damaged but the problem was before.

Now I can't calibrate ph probe for example :-(

Do you have any idea how to repair it?

Which version was the firmware before the update?
Are you using the matching PLC version?
Could you post the PLC main window, when the connection to the ProfiLux established?

The display was replaced by us, but the problem with the keys was before??? Very strange.

ad.1 Before Update there was 5.0.5 but the problem was the same.
ad.2 Yes
ad.3 I'll put the screen for a moment.
ad.4 LCD I've replaced alone. The problem was before.

Sorry, I mean the main window of PLC (general selected at the menu tree).

I wonder, how do you could replace the display, because it's no standard one...

Did the keys ever worked before?

Hmm, very strange - there must be a event before the keys not working anymore.
Maybe the ProfiLux PCB with the keys is not assembled correctly.

I think the best solution is to send the ProfiLux to GHL for a examination.
Please contact your retailer for further details.

Hmm... maybe yes but, cost of shipping to GHL and back will be 1/3 price of its value :-) ( without of cost of repair :-) )

I've been trying to update firmware with flash software by RS232 but all the time I've got timeout warning.
When I use PLC soft to update by USB, all works well...

Is any option to calibrate ph probe from PLC soft , not from Profilux keyboard ?

You can use the remote control of PLC

Remote control shows the same what LCD :-) This is the problem.

Mathias, is it possible to add calibration option from PLC?

This is the problem.
It shows what is needed for calibration, so please describe a little more where you see a problem.

On LCD and on remote control screen I see in second line www.ghl-kl.de
for that, I can't use remote control and LCD for ph problem calibration.

This is an individual fault of your PL, not a general problem. And in fact, no one knows if PLC calibration would work on your device. IMHO it would be to repair your PL instead.

this displayed message shows that there is something wrong with your serial number or the internal (secret) validation key (which is a protection against theft of intellectual property)

I guess the S/N or validation key went corrupt acidentally -> we have to recover them

please send an email to me, I can assist you to fix it

Hello, excuse me, did you decide your problem, because i have such trouble with my PL2. I disconnected the bus between monitor and sensor plate. The keys are not reacting, only beep, and www.ghl-kl.de on display. Thank you.

we recommend to send the device in for checking to find out the exact error cause.

Hmm, there must happened something before the keys are not working anymore.

The key don't stop working, if nothing happened before.

Did you make an firmware update, changed the hardware setup or changed some settings?

First of all, i turn off my pl2p for a long time. After powerup, there was a problem. The keys arу beeping, after that i make a firmware update, but no result.
